After only three years James is graduating from the University of Wisconsin Madison (School of Business) with a bachelor's degree in Information Systems Design and Analysis. He will be attending Law School at UW Madison, Duke or Columbia in the fall of 2007 (he hasn't decided where he's going to go yet). We're hoping he chooses Madison!

New Addition to the Family in February 2006!
We adopted a new kitty from Dane County Friends of Ferals. His name is Leo and he was born and lived behind a dumpster with about ten other cats. An older gentleman had been feeding the cats, but took ill and died in the hospital. A woman who knew about the cats took them into her home and called Dane County Friends of Ferals to help out. Since being rescued Leo was in several foster homes before we found him.
Howard and I (Pamela) were getting cat litter at a local pet store, MadCat, when I spotted Leo. He was in a cage with his sister and there were several other cages with cats up for adoption from Dane County Friends of Ferals. I looked in his eyes and I knew he was meant for our family. Okay, we already had three cats, but don't start thinking that I'm a strange old cat lady. We have two older cats that we've raised since they were six weeks old (Tux and Tiger), and they are now both ten years old (the equivalent of 63 years old for a human). The stable where we first boarded Katie's horse had a cat named "Smudge" who liked to rub up against the horses legs. He would soon become a true "smudge" if someone didn't rescue him, so in December of 2002 we took him home when he was four months old. Smudge is now three years old and likes to play much more than his older brothers. We figured that Smudge could use a younger brother to play and grow up with. Leo was a perfect fit to the family. Smudge and Leo play together constantly, while the older cats sleep most of the day.
